Description

A poem of immense complexity and length, the Mahabharata raises profound questions. Set against the backdrop of the Great War in ancient India fought on the battlefield of Kurukshetra, the stories mingle in a great tapestry as fortunes rise and fall; heroes win, lose or die.

About the Author

Mrinalini Sarabhai is the internationally reputed dancer of eminence, whose innovation is unmatched. More than 300 dance-dramas are to her credit as a choreographer, many of those written by her. She is a writer of novels, poetry, plays and stories for children, published by Children's Book Trust, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan and Tata McGraw Hill. Her latest dancedramas, the musical Krishna-Gopala and This Mahabharata, mirror today's world.
